Hello and thank you for stopping by! My name is Samuel Terry and I am a Houston based photographer, originally born and raised in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Before photography, I was an NCAA Division 1 Collegiate Baseball Player and Finance student here in Houston. In 2015, I graduated with a business degree in Finance and then worked as an Education Program Assistant in the State of Oklahoma, teaching STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Math to some of the brightest 4th through 9th graders in Oklahoma.
At the close of my athletic career in 2015, I started searching for another passion filled with peace and happiness. I always knew I had a creative and artistic mind but spent years attempting to find a way to express my creativity. One day, I picked up a camera and the rest is history. I learned that photography is much more than just taking a picture. I believe photography is a method of communication between the photographer and the subject; an attempt to tell a wordless story and give it meaning.
I am currently a 3rd year law student here in this magical and magnificent city called Houston, Texas. I have found that expressing my creativity through photography has also had a positive impact on all of my thought processes used in law school. Who would have thought that photography and thinking about the law could actually correlate with each other? My life philosophy is “I do what I love and love what I do”!
